Here are some useful DIY (do it yourself) tips and tricks of laying concrete pavers that will ensure longevity and sustainability of the property.
1.Detailed Planning-
In depth planning will not only help you save time and money, but it will also ensure that your work is done according to your expectations. Do not assume that everything will turn out just fine. To begin with you know how much material will be required. It will also save you from wasting some extra dollars, just in case that much of material is not required.
2.Base Area-
Base area decides the fate of the work carried out by you. There should be enough depth for layering to ensure longevity of paving. Levelling must not be forgotten before creating a bed. You can go for a 75 mm layer. Make sure that no utility lines are damaged while preparing the foundation.
3.Preparing concrete mix-
Preparing concrete mixture is another important step that should not be undervalued. Making a mistake here can lead to consequences that cannot be undone. 1, 2,3 rule can come in handy. This means, that you need to mix 1 part cement, 2 parts sand and 3 parts aggregate. You should be quite careful while mixing water as adding more than required water will lead to less strength and durability.
